Telephone Calls and Emergency/Urgent Services

Your provider can be reached during their scheduled business hours. Generally, your non-urgent calls will be returned within two business days. Unless otherwise stated on outgoing voicemail message, we check voicemail at least once per day, more often during business hours and attempt to return all calls within 24 hours of receipt of voicemail.

If you are experiencing big emotions, big changes in your life, or need some resources or problem-solving before your next session, you can call your clinician or our main line to set up a 15-minute phone call with an available therapist. They will respond within 24 hours to your inquiry.

Full Spectrum Therapy clinicians do not provide after-hours crisis support currently. If you are having a medical emergency or are in imminent danger, please call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department. If you are experiencing a more severe crisis, or are at risk of hurting yourself or other people, go to:

Unity Center (24/7 stabilization unit) Call (503) 944.8000 or walk in, address:

Unity Center

1225 NE 2nd Ave

Portland, OR 97232

Or call one of the following crisis centers.

Crisis helplines

Helplines you can call for support right now

If you are in danger, thinking of harming yourself or someone else or need help right away, you can call one of the helplines listed below. Someone will be there to listen and support you.

You can also call 988 in the case of an emergency.

What to expect when you call a helpline
If this is your first time calling a helpline for help, you may have questions. Someone will be there to listen and support you.

What happens when you call:

  • The person will ask your name and how they can help

  • They may ask for other personal information to help you, but you don’t have to share

  • They will keep what you say to themselves

  • They will listen to you with compassion

  • They will not judge you or tell you what to do

  • They may give you ideas about where to find more help or how you can find a counselor

The helpline will not share your information unless there are signs of abuse or neglect or they are worried about harm to yourself or others. Please go to the organization’s website to learn more about their privacy policies.
