Hannah Latimer-Snell (She/her)
Dance and movement therapy student intern
My name is Hannah Latimer-Snell, and I am a Dance and Movement Therapy intern at Full Spectrum Therapy. I practice through a trauma-informed, anti-oppressive centering the way a person’s inner and outer environments shape how they move through the world. I believe that you are the expert of your story and aim to cultivate a relationship that is client-centered and strength-based. My therapeutic work integrates Internal Family Systems, Narrative, Polyvagal Theory, and Collaborative approaches alongside my primary modality, Dance and Movement Therapy; a psychotherapeutic practice that uses movement to process and understand one’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical experience. Because movement is our first language, slowing down to attune to the body’s innate wisdom can open pathways for healing and connection.
Clinically, I enjoy working with clients seeking support around relationships, attachment trauma, anxiety, sex and pleasure. I believe the body holds memories even when the mind cannot. Together we can work towards reconnecting with and trusting your somatic knowledge.
Dance and movement have been tools for communication and healing across human history. While DMT was formalized in the Western world in the 1940s, its roots lie in Indigenous and tribal traditions, which I strive to acknowledge and honor in my work. In my spare time you can find me dancing Kizomba (as a lead and a follow), Salsa, and Brazilian Zouk, paddle boarding, weight lifting, scuba diving, and crafting.
