(They/Them)
Certified and Qualified Mental Health Professional
I view the therapy process as a co-creative journey of connection. Working in the mental health field since 2017, I have aimed to provide a guiding hand for others trying to find their way back home to themselves. There is often an ask to find more creative avenues for navigating this reality when the physical world can bring feelings of unsettledness. Play therapy and somatic techniques in particular allow a chance to speak beyond where words are accessible, providing a metaphorical language for complex emotions and traumatic experiences to be heard.
I work with young kiddos to adults, including experience in complex trauma, dissociation, depression, neurodivergence, and gender diversity. In addition to play therapy and somatics, I also utilize influence from DBT and mindfulness, IFS, existential therapy, and transpersonal perspectives.
My Master’s background is in yoga therapy, with additional graduate coursework in clinical mental health counseling.
I currently practice as a QMHP-C (Certified and Qualified Mental Health Professional) with progress towards associate licensure and am under the supervision of Paige Myers-Matthews, LPC, CADC I. I am also a registered yoga teacher, which provides a holistic and integrative perspective across spiritual, emotional, psychological, and physical avenues.
In our therapeutic work, I aim to co-create a safe and inclusive space for authenticity to shine, however it may look moment to moment. I utilize a trauma-informed approach to allow the opportunity for you to be here as you are.
