Jordan Hartman Haight

(she/her)

Hi, I’m Jordan! I am a trauma-informed, strengths-based therapist who is committed to serving the LGBTQIA+ community. I have a clinically focused Masters in Social Work from San Diego State University. My education in social work informs my passion to provide mental health care to combat the harm committed by inequitable, oppressive systems of power. As a white mental health care provider, I practice a culture of humility and mindfulness for my own privilege and influence. As a queer, neurodivergent person, I maintain unconditional positive regard and a deep respect for intersectionality and the diverse human experience.

AS A THERAPIST…

I concretely believe that each individual possesses the capabilities to live their most actualized life, and achieve their personally defined successes. As a therapist, I am here to support, validate, teach, challenge or cheer for each individual as they move forward on their mental health journey. I aim to co-create a safe, brave space to explore ambivalence and practice feeling distressing emotions in a safe, healing manner. Pulling from clinical models of Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy, I hope to empower folks with additional coping skills to manage and navigate life’s challenges as they arise. I prioritize self-compassion and self-efficacy as the core of my clinical practice.

AS A PERSON…

I am a fan of National Parks, movie theaters, and hot cups of tea. I am not a fan of self-criticism, unkindness, or how much couch space my cat takes up when I also would like to sit down, please. In my spare time, I can be found hiking in the woods, playing a board game, or eating the baking-chocolate because I already finished the chocolate ice cream yesterday.

I am a Qualified Mental Health Professional Registrant (QHMP-R), and I am supervised by Dr. Angela Harman, Psy.D.
